We met up at Jason's Deli in Palatine and put together 115 hygene kits that are being shipped to
replenish the stock of Church World Service who emptied thier stock sending all of their kits to
Haiti. We had the opporunity to get to know each other better while making a difference and we also had
the opportunity to enjoy some of Jason's fine food.
Any items left over from the hygene kits are being donated to the local PADS organization so that these items can make it into the hands of those who are
homeless in our area.

Two groups from the Gathering walked the neighborhood surrounding Pioneer Park and asked for non-perishable food
donations for the Wheeling Township Food Pantry. We had the opportunity to get to know each other better,
collect food for the food pantry, introduce The Gathering to a few neighbors, and we finished the afternoon by
gathering for food and coffee at Panera Bread in downtown Arlington Heights.
